Who We Are

This is a work in progress. The goal is to feature writing about sport that is approachable but has some theoretical weight. The idea is to get something new out there. No match reports. No transfer speculations.

Lotte Specht founded Germany’s first women’s soccer team, 1. DDFC Frankfurt, in 1930. It lasted less than a year due to media and personal shaming of the forty women who played. Specht was later a comedian and actor.
