Answers to common questions now available throughout the Gencove web app

We do our best to make Gencove easy to use, but relevant information is sometimes buried in documentation, so our users occasionally reach out to support@gencove.com for help.

No matter how quickly we respond to support requests, the user’s workflow is interrupted when they have to reach out and we’ve been looking for ways to shorten that feedback loop. To that end, we’ve compiled a list of commonly asked support questions and integrated their answers directly into the Gencove web app:

Quick help and tooltip

As shown in the screenshot above, these answers come in two flavors:

1.“Quick help” sections

  • contain bullets, links, and code
  • can be permanently dismissed
  • code snippets have a copy-to-clipboard button
  • code snippets interpolate relevant information such as project or sample identifiers, enabling code to directly pasted into the terminal

2. Tooltips with brief explanations of a topic containing text and links

We’ll be updating these components as new questions come in, so let us know how we can improve them or send any other feedback you may have.
