Help of The Universe Won’t Come Late

Got a Great Teacher Who’s Willing to Help me at “Injury Time”

I have spent almost three months on trying to revive my master degree’s thesis and I almost end-up hopeless and just wanted to give up. I have a very solid reason for that, when I was deciding to restart my journey to finish my thesis, I was like being punished. Since I rose back to my thesis journey in a tight-deadline, almost no body wanted to help me. Every conversations that I had with the Academic felt like punch in the gut. I received statement like:

“You don’t have a strong enough research problem”…. “Are you sure with your topic?”, “It’s impossible” all of those kindda sore statement was made me in a “comma” for a while. Luckily, I remember Henry Ford quote told by one of the founder of Tokopedia. He reminded me that Henry Ford shared through his quote about whether you think you can or can’t do something, you’re right. If you chose to give-up, you’re right — you failed to finish stuff just right away. However, if you think you can do whatever it is you want to do, you can end-up to the point where it’s not as you expected, yet you can try again. That was something that pull-me up and keeping me trying.

And long story-short, after battling with a “slow-death” situation, I finally could lift myself up and dust-off the stink of failure that I got. I put my thicker skin to deal with the campus and kept trying to find away to make things work. I scheduled a meeting with different lecturers, merely to ask their time to become my thesis advisor and helped me out. Fortunately, I nailed one appointment with this Great Person. He’s an amazing person who turned out have done tons of researches, so I am in a good hand.

Now, nailing that moment drive me to do good not only for myself but for every person that involved in my journey in finishing this thesis thing. I used to see as a scary thing so I ran away. Now, I discern all the illusion that being attached to thesis, I see it as it is. Moreover, I decided to follow the principle of Henry Ford — whatever you think you are, you’re right then why not chose the options that allow you to try. So, if that Great man said so, what’s holding me back is no longer exists. Now I could stand up and have the humility to try.

It’s not only for me and my learning journey, but also for my good Teacher. Got help fuel your energy and pull you to deliver the best out of yourself.
