With the evolution of the Internet, working online is gaining momentum and is already normalized in some countries.

Remote work, like face-to-face work, is marked by frequent staff meetings. The only difference is that the meetings are virtual. Collaborative tools play an important role in the interactions that occur when working from home. In this article, we will present some virtual tools used by work teams to collaborate remotely.

Zoom

Zoom is one of the most widely used platforms for online meetings between co-workers. It is available on both web and mobile versions, and has a free version that allows unlimited meeting time for two participants. In cases where there are more than 2 participants, there is a 40 minute time limit.

With Zoom, meetings can be recorded, with or without video. Users can activate their camera and see each other. There are administrator rights that allow the moderator of the meeting to define certain rules for the proper conduct of the meeting.

Webex

Webex is another video conferencing application that can also be used for online meetings. All you need is an account and choose the type of subscription you want to subscribe to. Registration is free and very simple. Like Zoom, Webex also has a mobile version that each team member can download to their smartphone and follow any meeting. Webex offers the advantage of being super flexible, inclusive and secure.

Google Meet

Very convenient and widely used, Google Meet provides its users with a beautiful browsing experience. Like the platforms described above, it allows you to hold online meetings and work remotely.

In addition to having the options to activate the camera and the video when the user wants, Google Meet also allows screen sharing. In a few clicks, you can create a meeting link through your Gmail or Google Suite account.

Google Hangouts

Google Hangouts is much more recognized by users as an instant messaging application. But there is more than that: in reality, Google Hangouts is an application from the Google Suite that allows you to have work meetings. A bit like with Google Meet, it is possible to activate both audio and video.

And that’s not all: screen sharing is an option available on this application. With a Gmail account, you could already have access to Google Hangouts. Its mobile version is also available.

Slack

Although it is well suited for managing a large community, the Slack app is a platform that has reached a high number of users recently. With Slack, video conferences are possible but it also has simple call function (Hubble) to discuss between collaborators without necessarily seeing each other.

In addition, it has the web, PC, MAC, and mobile versions. It should also be noted that Slack allows you to split team members into other subgroups (called channels) for better productivity.

Microsoft Teams

With a Microsoft user account, anyone can use Microsoft Teams to organize and follow online meetings. It has a web version and a mobile version for greater flexibility. With Teams, video, audio and chat options are also available. You can create and/or belong to multiple groups on Microsoft Teams.

8x8 Meet

For good quality video conferencing, 8x8 Meet is an option to consider as well. In both its mobile and web version, it allows organizers to define rules before the meeting starts. It’s easy to use video, audio and chat here too.

In addition, 8x8 Meet is a platform that offers the possibility of recording meetings. You don’t necessarily need an account to use it. Even better, this app integrates other dependencies like Google and Slack.

JoinMe

JoinMe is a platform that easily solves all the problems related to the organization of online work conferences. It is practical, reliable and offers a great user experience. You can easily create a meeting or join one by entering the code shared with you.

Thanks to these collaborative tools, it is easier for remote teams to work efficiently even if they are not in the same location. Feel free to explore these platforms for your video conferences or remote meetings. Also, do not forget to share with us in comments if you know any other platform that is great for online meetings and remote work.
