Your pace, your photos
The Self-Guided Tour is the people’s tour. This is your chance to make the tour what you want it to be.
Have you taken the tour before and just want to come and see the house again? Maybe you have always wanted to take your family but a full guided tour hasn’t been in the cards. Or have you wanted to take some great photos and snap a few selfies? This tour is for you.
Your pace. The length of the Self-Guided Tour is totally up to you. You can buzz through in 15 minutes or take your time to soak it all in. That is the beauty of this tour. It’s your choice. Between the main floor, second floor lower level and grounds; you choose the spaces you want to see. There are stories about each room on display, you can read them all or not any at all. It’s all up to you.
This tour is also great for families with children. The flexibility of the the tour is ideal for kids. Families can chose the rooms and stories that interest them the most. A family may want to just look around for a few minutes or spend an hour or so enjoying the mansion and the grounds. Kids can ask all the questions they want too! Tour guides are stationed throughout the home to help answer questions at any point.
Your photos. Photography is allowed on tour. In fact, it’s encouraged! We love to see our guests documenting their experiences at Glensheen. Snap a selfie or two, share your photos with friends and post your best artsy Instagram. If you hashtag Glensheen (#glensheen) or tag us, we may even repost your photo. Are you more of a photography buff? Guests can even bring a tripod to set up that perfect shot. Take a tour and take a photo.
The Duluthian Deal. For the month of June, Glensheen will be offering the Duluthian Deal. The deal is a ‘buy one, get one’ for Duluthians and their friends. Duluthians who bring a paying guest, get a free Self-Guided Tour. To redeem, the Duluthian will present their ID designating their Duluth residence and receive free admission to Glensheen’s newest tour. Yes, you heard that right. Duluthians can use their paying tourist friend to get in free to Glensheen’s newest tour. Offer is valid in person only.
