The SUPER Concert of Concerts on the Pier

By the force of mother nature (two weather-related postponed concerts), the ultimate Concert on the Pier has been born.

An amazing guitar rift may or may not have been happening at this moment

Avant garde indie rock band, Red Mountain and folk country blues singer, Charlie Parr will end Glensheen’s Concerts on the Pier series with a bang. The outdoor summer concert series features local brews, eats by Chow Haul Mobile Restaurant, The Juice Pharm and handmade ice cream by Love Creamery. So join us for one last evening of Minnesota music on the shores of Lake Superior!

Shark Watching Society Bonfires

What started last year as a way to continue the Wednesday night summer fun, Glensheen has brought you another Duluth-esque, (FREE) summer evening event.

Yes, all SWSB pictures you take will look as epic as this

In an effort to keep the waters of Lake Superior shark free, join us every Wednesday night in August, to keep post while enjoying a bonfire on the shore of Lake Superior.

Glensheen is the only legal location for a bonfire on the shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. A perfect Duluth summer night activity at a prime location, right on the shore of Lake Superior.

The event is FREE and is from 7:00 pm — 10:00 pm.

Kick back with a local beer in hand. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Bring your own chair or blanket to make sure you get a seat.

Zenith City on Tap: The 1915 Duluth Armory, Past & Future

Zenith City on Tap is Glensheen’s monthly collaboration with Zenith City Magazine and is a modification on the popular “TED Talk” style presentation. Each speaker tackles the topic in just fifteen minutes and speaks about a Duluthish or Glensheenish subject.

Arguably one of the best parts of this event is the fact that, you can sip on your favorite local brew or glass of wine while you enlighten your mind.

We serve up history straight out of the tap

This month’s Zenith City On Tap examines the past and future of Duluth’s iconic 1915 Armory, noted not only for its military service but also as an events center that hosted appearances by presidents and performances by celebrated personalities from across the entertainment spectrum — musicians, actors, dancers, and more — for well over half a century.

Zenith City Online publisher Tony Dierckins will talk about the Armory’s past, while the AAMCs executive director Mark Poirer will discuss its ongoing renovation and plans for its future use.

‘Now’ is always a great time to visit Glensheen. But August is especially awesome.

Flowers are magical in August
