Video — The Timelessness of God’s Simulation

Will The Simulation stay around infinitely? The answer is important for understanding how God is the creator of The Simulation (Romans 10:17). For centuries, the Aristotelian idea of an eternal and infinite universe has challenged us. Many theologians argued that it was rationally necessary for the world to have had a beginning (Genesis 1:1). There is a simple impossibility of an infinite past time, as it would be impossible to traverse that infinite number of days to reach today (Isaiah 43:18). God being the cause and creator of all things required a moment of new things (2 Corinthians 5:17). But God’s creation and efficient causality is immediate and not a temporal activity (Jeremiah 29:11). It is reasonable and conceivable that The Simulation, although necessarily created by God and dependent upon Him, had always existed as an infinite thing. Such an infinitely created Simulation would still be distinct from and dependent upon the eternity, the will, and the love of God as its creator (John 17:3).
