Burgundy, famous for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, is home to some of the most expensive wines in the world. Today we are going to compare the top Burgundy Pinot Noir wines according to Global Wine Score and Wine-Searcher.com.

Wine Searcher uses an average score that is calculated based on an average score of many wine critics and user ratings from CellarTracker. They display scores both for specific vintages and across vintages to rank wines on their website. You can read a more detailed explanation of their methodology on their website. For our analysis, we used the overall score that is not for a specific vintage.

It is interesting to compare how different methods of score calculation affect rankings. The main difference in methodology is that Global Wine Score adjusts each critic score before averaging and weighs all critics equally, while Wine-Searcher uses a weighted average score.
