After the flower crowns and art displays of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival are gone, it’s time for Stagecoach Festival to move in to Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. While Stagecoach has similar summer vibes to Coachella, April 27 through April 29 is definitely the time for country fans to unite.

It’s not just the music, though. When you want to take a break from the stages, plenty of activities will keep you refreshed and ready to get back to the music.

Here’s our guide to all things Stagecoach.

Makeup tents

The California desert isn’t the best for skin, which is why the makeup tent is a Stagecoach bonus. Last year, Estee Lauder sponsored a tend with complimentary makeovers, a photo booth and games with prizes of makeup and other fun items.

The tent also provided numerous samples for those on-the-go touch-ups. We’re excited to see what beauty products and other sponsored tents make it to Stagecoach this year.

The Boardwalk

Like Coachella, Stagecoach has The Boardwalk, the go-to area to grab a drink or food. Vendors offer items such as fried pickles, fried Twinkies and Bud Light & Clamato Cheladas in the spirit of the country theme.

If you’re just looking for a quick coffee or slice of pizza, though, you’ll find that as well. This is a go-to Stagecoach spot, aside from the stages, of course.

Cocktail retreat

Rumor has it that Malibu is bringing back the Malibu Beach House this year.

This spot is the perfect oasis to hang out and enjoy a pina colada or a Malibu bay breeze with friends. The patio and deck make a scenic spot for photos, especially if you’re looking for a beachy vibe for your Instagram feed instead of bootstraps and buckles.

Tailgating

Craving a burger and beer, but don’t want to spend $30 at The Boardwalk? Tailgating is a huge hit at Stagecoach.

Festivalgoers set up tables, lawn chairs and barbeque stations to eat, drink and relax throughout the day. Many people also set up kiddie pools and lawn games, such as cornhole, for all to enjoy.

Tailgating is such a big deal at Stagecoach, it’s like a second festival within the festival! You won’t want to miss out on all the fun.

Off-roading

Toyota is another Stagecoach sponsor, which creates a one-of-a-kind experience for festival attendees. Not only do they have fun giveaways and prizes, but they also offer off-roading with a professional in a Toyota truck or SUV. This dirt course is short, but will definitely get your adrenaline pumping.

Toyota also sets up a simpler course that’s free to enjoy if you’re ready to get behind the wheel yourself.

Children’s area

It may be surprising to some, but Stagecoach is a family friendly destination. Another feature is the Half-Pint Hootenanny designed for children. Kids can watch music acts, play games and enjoy fun arts and crafts while their parents head off to see their favorite artist.

Parents can register their children in the Tag-A-Kid program. If a child gets lost, a parent can meet them in a designated safe pickup location.

Whether you love country music or are looking for a fun weekend festival, Stagecoach is a terrific mix of fun, photos and food. The array of activities should appeal to everyone in your group and will keep you as busy or as relaxed as you’d like. This is your summer music festival experience!
