We may all live in a Yellow Submarine, but who are we? Really? It’s a legitimate question. The answer could tell us more about where this song was heading before the endearing but somewhat Goon Show-type production took hold.

Recording Notes

Yellow Submarine was recorded in June 1966. It was one-half a double A-side single. Eleanor Rigby made up the other half of this double A release. This was the first time that The Beatles had ever released as a single, songs that were destined to be featured in an upcoming album.
