This month has been an incredibly busy time for us, with several different releases, competitions, raffles and a ton of engagement events for everyone in the community to enjoy. In the next few days we’ll be releasing our Monthly Update which will have everything and anything we have done in October. Time and time again the Ark community shows how amazing it is with the awesome response we receive from all of you guys and gals. We’re always motivated to bring more and more each month so we can do our bit as delegates and also to help grow the community.

This article will address all the different winners of competitions and raffles that we’ve held this month as well as touch on some of the comps that we’re now running!

TGH Voter Raffle

This month we started a voter raffle which will be drawn every three months. The prize is some Ark themed wall art from our crypto mythos design line and to kick the tradition off we had a special month with the prize also including 100 Ark for this month only! You can check out the launch article here:

We’re happy to announce the winning wallet is: AexEA5P256mKXpT4YAq7tX5zs7JuTfZrAk

We’ll be sending a smartbridge transaction to this wallet to let them know they’ve won, if you’re the owner of this wallet then please contact @ Colby (The Golden Horde) on the Ark Slack!

Ark x Ethereum Social Bounty Competition

At the end of September we launched a social bounty campaign for those who helped us share our Crypto Designathon art competition, which is still running until the end of November! We’re now ready to distribute the bounties to those who helped us share, and by far it was Erik who helped us spread the information the most. We’re going to be ending the bounty competition now which is a little earlier than anticipated due to there not being so many contributors as we expected. We will be in touch with Erik to arrange a canvas piece to be sent and some halloween stickers for the most engaged post!

The Engagement Program Rewards

Reddit Engagement Program

Our Reddit Engagement Initiative seeks to reward those who help grow Ark’s community on Reddit by asking the tough questions, getting input from others and really digging deep into what makes Ark tick along. Therefore each month we look for a combination of top engaged and most upvoted posts, we look for posts that usually spark a discussion so sometimes the winners won’t always be the posts that are most upvotes. We of course don’t count team posts, articles from the team or any update details involving Ark details (for example posting screenshots of roadmap progress etc). Therefore with all that said we’re happy to announce the two winners for October have been:

#1 — DVDPTR With: Q4 2018 Infographic: Expected Updates

His infographic is comprehensive and of course as a community member, it shows ambition and really sums up what we have to look forward to from Ark in this quarter. It also shows that commissions and using your talents is possible in this community as he was commissioned to create this graphic and has done ACF work in the past. We will be reaching out in a Reddit PM to arrange the wall art!

#2 — ___AirWick___ With: “Ark’s marketing sucks” — A different viewpoint

This post really got traction in the community, both with critical posts and positive agreement. In this post user AirWick wanted to show a different light of the critical posts that had popped up around Ark’s marketing, showing that Ark does a very good job at advertising to developers and drawing in the technical community. Needless to say this post really got the community talking which is what we look for in this initiative program. We will be in contact with AirWick soon!

Ark Social Initiative Program

The Ark Social Initiative Program allows any community member to get free wall art for their social events such as Hackathons, Meetups, conferences and more. It’s a way for us to provide for the community and help add value to events for Ark. Each month we have four pieces of wall art to give out that can be used in events for that month or the coming months and it’s super easy for a community member to get in touch and get a piece delivered to them:

Entering into the application process is as simple as either sending us a message on slack @ colby (The Golden Horde) or emailing us admin@goldenhorde.io. The format for your application should be:

  • Title Of Competition / Campaign
  • Your Contact Details
  • Summary Of Your Ideas
  • Social Medium That The Competition / Campaign Will Be Launched On
  • How The Winner Will Be Contacted
  • Date Competition / Campaign Will Be Started & Date Will End

To find out more details about the program you can check out the article below.

For October we had one member contact us and we’ll be working with them to get them art for their Hackathon in the coming months but remember that starting tomorrow we’ll have a fresh four art pieces ready so get in touch if you have an event in mind!

Slack Lucky Draw

We also mentioned that we’d be giving one slack member a piece of wall art and Ark just for following our Twitter and engaging on the official Ark Slack. We’re happy to announce that this winner is: Dated whose name was pulled from our random generator! We’ll be in contact soon with 50 Ark and the design.
