Narendra Mehta gifted the Rs 5.5 crore car to his wife Suman

The wife of BJP MLA Narendra Mehta (Mira-Bhayander) apparently made the worst of the birthday gift presented by her man. Suman was involved in an accident when the saffron Lamborghini, presented by Mehta to her on her birthday on August 27, hit an auto on the same day. No one was injured in the incident.

Mehta had posted on the social media that he has gifted his wife Suman a saffron Lamborghini worth Rs 5.50 crore on her birthday. She took the luxury car that was not registered with RTO for a trial run from Seven Eleven Academy in Bhayander (E), run by Mehta.

According to an eyewitness, “Suman lost control of the luxury car after it came out of the school gate while taking a turn and hit a parked autorickshaw. The bump damaged the auto’s headlight. A young boy got out from the car after the accident while Suman remained behind the wheel. Mehta rushed out of his office after hearing the commotion and controlled the situation.”

According to sources, the auto driver was compensated for the loss.

“There is no FIR or complaint registered so far in the matter,” said Mahesh Patil, Superintendent of Police Thane (Rural).

“My wife Suman was taking a turn outside our school gate when the incident took place. The car ‘touched’ the auto and there wasn’t any damage to it. She has been driving a four-wheeler for the past 18 years and has a licence too. My son was sitting in the passenger seat with her. We haven’t given any compensation to the autorickshaw driver as our car just ‘touched’ it,” Mehta said.
