According to the police, ANC Chief Inspector Pratibha Joshi said that the cell laid a trap on a tip-off that the trio will be passing by the city in a car carrying drugs. “We followed their movements for four days before arresting them on July 11. The suspects had bought the drug from Mumbai and were heading to Ahmednagar for dealing. A case against them has been filed at the Yerawada police station. They are first-time offenders and we are investigating the details of buyers,” Sakore said on July 12. A case under Sections 21 (C), 22 (C), 29 and 8 (C) of Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 has been registered against the trio.
