I have no idea what to write about.
Because I have no idea what to write about in a Medium article, I choose to share with you my free thoughts and inspirations. Niche? 😭 No niche. I’m nicheless.
I declare that I am into nichelessness now. I might stick to a niche in the future, probably. I have already unniched my content. But, for now I don’t have a topic in mind that I think attracts me enough to make it attractive enough to readers.
I sit back, relax, and let my fingers write what my heart chooses. My mind goes: “Is this topic interesting enough?”. My heart answers: “It doesn’t matter”.
So yes, it doesn’t matter. If I write it, and you read it, we are in sync. Connection with people is more important than the topic you write about. I have seen many fascinating topics and original ideas gone unnoticed by readers. Perfectionism kills the pleasure of connecting with readers. Readers love simplicity and straightforwardness.
I stop forcing myself to find a unique, original, and interesting topic. And, I stop writing only long articles. If my idea is explained in 400 words, I’ll share with you 400 words. Honestly, connection with readers should be natural. If your readers resonate with you, chances are they will connect with you. Otherwise, even the most interesting topic can fail to attract readers and increase their engagement. By the way, readers connect with the writer not with their content. Feel what you write, and write with your own feelings.
