Community making you do what they want you to do

When it come to ones calling they have to know what they want to do. In society today when people want to do something as they graduate college their parents and the ones in their close circle have a lot of say in what they would want the kid to do. In having this loving and tight family circle, they think that they knows what’s best for the kid if they show any interest in something when their young. on page 2 Harding said that he put aside the calling of him being an aero engineer and his family pushed him to be a pastor because of their influence in the church. This is a prime example of what i said at the beginning, when a kid shows interest in something their family tries to push them into doing the thing they think is best. In his senario his parents want him to do something they think is best for them based off their beliefs. When it comes to a calling in my opinion i think that you should follow that calling. The reason i say that i because if it makes you happy then that’s all that you can ask of yourself. you shouldn’t have to settle for something that everyone else thinks you should do.
