Money vs. Happiness

I think someone is called to a job in life that they should enjoy. Most people these days don’t choose their job based off of their happiness but based off how much money they are going to make. I believe the job you do everyday should be something you absolutely love to do. If you don’t love your job then going to work is not going to be fun. Some people say that going to work shouldn’t feel like work. In the chapter we read for “Do What You Love and the Money Will Follow” it says, “many of us cannot imagine that what we enjoy doing, what we have talent for, could be a source of income for us.” If we find what we are good at and what we enjoy doing going to work everyday will not feel like work and we would enjoy our jobs and our daily lives. Another thing about choosing to do something you love is it will give you motivation and passion. Being motivated makes you work harder and better so in the long run you are making things better for yourself. Doing a job that makes you happy also gives you a sense of fulfillment. Getting a sense of fulfillment can make you a happy person and can help change your mental health also. Another reason you should love what you do is it makes you work harder meaning you will leave a bigger impact. Choosing a job you love to do is very rewarding for yourself in the long run.
