People have so many definitions of love that there isn’t one specific definition. “love” is most often defined as a noun,” but Hooks tells us that love should be used as a verb. We all can’t agree on one definition and finding a similar one would make it easier to figure out how to use the word. Love is an action we choose to do not just automatically do it. It is an action which is why Hook says we should say love is a verb. We love to nature and nurture others. Love is a deeply personal and subjective experience. It varies from person to person, and the way individuals perceive and express love can differ widely. What love means to one person may not be the same for another. As we grow older we our understandings and expierence of love start to change. What love means to someone in their youth may differ from what it means to them in their later years. They learn from there different life expierences and who they choose to love also factors into how someone interprets love. Love is all a mindset. There are many different kinds of love such as platonic, familial, and romantic. Love is a real and significant part of human existence whether it is familial or romantic. We all need a mother and fathers love but we also need to expierence a romantic relationship. Having different kinds of love helps us grow and make meaningful connections with others.
