Martin Luther King Jr. was a revolutionary in the movement for equality for black people. Dr. king was born into a loving family in Atlanta Georgia, they were very active in the church and his dad also became the Pastor of the church they attended. for his entire childhood his family and members in the community said that Dr. King would be just like his father and also become a pastor. He went to college then seminary school in following the footsteps of his father. Once he was in school that’s when he started to take his vocation in helping black people in America While he was growing up it was in stilled in him that every family especially the black families should have these values “1. Global perspective (love all people), 2. Have a desire to achieve excellence in every field of endeavor, 3. have a sense of social responsibility and a sense of evil, 4. have respect for the dignity and worth of all human beings, 5. Have a sense of god consciousness” in that i think that before he went to college he had the non-violent approach to protesting and making sure that all people have the right to do what they want to do. At a young age he had the calling to be something greater than himself and that allowed him to be the man he was before he died. When it comes to vocation he had a lot of influence in his college years, he started reading Gandhi’ life work, which allowed him to go on with his protest peacefully. Once in college at Boston University, they helped sharpen his intellectual skills and allowed him to get his point across without being confrontational. They made him see, “Neo-orthodoxy as a means by which to take liberalism out of the bondage of modern culture and shallowness.” Which helped him complete his goal of justice for all. With Martin Luther King having a vocation, he was able to help a whole race and get them the justice they deserved.
