The Good Life: Spring 2024

For this week’s blog post I want to focus on how heavy our actions come back and have consequences. I am also going to tie this to how you should tie this to your life that can potentially lead you to having a “Good Life”. Just because you do something or an act the right way at the right time does not mean what you did was the right thing to do. Most people act upon emotions and forget to think before they do. As states in the reading “We can not do them well or not well by committing adultery with the right woman at the right time in the right way”. There are no excuses that justify this doing. We should wait and think about what is good to do in the situations that we are put in. Not only does it make you stronger as a person, but it makes your decisions more informed. It gives you time to think about both the positive and negative outcomes that could come in your immediate future. In the reading it says, “Surly knowledge of this good is great importance for the conduct of our lives”. So, from this I think a good point to take from it and put into our daily lives is to think before you act.
