Draft Topics

Trades
If two teams are engaging in a trade, both managers must contact me via text, both agreeing to the trade.
Sacko Bowl
The bottom 4 teams at the end of the season will face off in a bracket. This is the opposite of a regular bracket in which the losing teams advance. The team that loses both games will be considered the champion of the Sacko Bowl and will contribute an additional $50 to the draft party.
Last Place Penalty
Currently the team that finishes in last during the regular season pays $50. If we want to make this penalty more severe, you’ll need to make a proposal and send these to Chris.
Handing Over Trophy
Please hand over the trophy at the draft, so we can take a picture for the draft history portion of the website.
Last Place Picture
When finishing in last place, you will take a picture with the license plate frame on your car.
Stat Changes
I understand there is a contingent of managers that are interested in moving to .5 or 1 PPR. I think this is a shortsighted move, but with a deep dive into the stats I think it can be a viable move. I do think it would be better if we stats that are important to the actual game of football such as Point Per First Down. I think PPR makes irrelevant football players relevant that should not viable fantasy players. A player who gets 15 catches and 15 years should not be a better option than a player who gets 5 catches 60 yards and a TD.
If we do want to make changes, I think we will need to balance out this move so we don’t make positions irrelevant, such as QB.
Dynasty League
In a move to fight against tanking, I think moving the league to a dynasty league would be the best option. This year would be our last year as a keeper and we would have a new draft for next year.
Not only would changing to a Dynasty league prevent tanking, but it will force teams to keep a long term view and keep overall interest for the long term. Moving to a dynasty league would allow for larger rosters and force teams to keep their teams that they draft. This will also turn each years draft into a Rookie/FA draft rather than the traditional re-draft format.
FAAB
I believe the traditional waiver process rewards managers who don’t make moves or happened to draft last. I believe moving to FAAB (finite dollar based bidding system for waivers) would allow for a more fair and strategic way of getting free agents. If a manager wants to blow their money on FA, they should be allowed to do so. If a manger runs out of money they, and they alone, will revert back to the traditional waiver system in which they cannot bid as the rest of the league can.
FAAB dollars will be eligible to roll over (25% with a max of $50) and eligible to trade for picks/players.
League Proposals
Please send these to Chris so that I can give these a formal write up.
Please be thorough. Give me information on what you want to change and how this helps the league or fix a problem you see.
