Goodfellas pre draft meeting

FAAB -9/2

What is FAAB?
This is an acronym for Free Agent Acquisition Budget, or, if you prefer, Free Agent Auction Bidding. Owners are given a season-long spending limit — typically 100 or 1,000 dollars — and unowned players are acquired through a blind bidding system. FAAB is generally regarded as the most equitable waiver system, and it also adds a thick layer of strategy to season-long leagues, making it very popular.

League will move from traditional waivers to FAAB budget waiver system. After some research and thought put into this, I believe a FAAB budget of $150 is fair for the league to start out with. As I mentioned at the draft, in the draft topics, you would be able to carry over unused FAAB to the next season, with a maximum of $50. FAAB would also be eligible to trade.

Why should we do this? I think it creates an even playing field that gives all managers a fair chance at getting Free Agents and doesn’t just reward the person who has the last draft pick or just never uses their #1 waiver priority.

In short:
Replace current waiver system with FAAB
$150 budget
$50 carry over to next year
FAAB eligible to trade

Best Win Percentage after 5 years -9/2

Every year managers put an extra $20 to this pot. Best win percentage after the 5th year wins this pot or we can increase the amount we put in and the top 2 teams can split it.

Why should we do this? To reduce tanking.
