Joshua Nelson Singing How I Got Over
Joshua Nelson sounds a lot like Mahalia Jackson (The Queen of Gospel) singing with a man’s voice. When you hear him, you will think of Mahalia, but you will get lost in Joshua. It sounds as if Mahalia’s music, voice, and sound lives through him. We need that good old gospel, and Joshua has brought it back. We need that old time religion, and Joshua has brought it back. He came to sing and thank God for giving him a vision. Joshua Nelson sings, “How I Got Over”. After we have made it, I guess we will wonder how we made it. It’s not easy in this life, although there are many among us that are quite sure that they are saved and sanctified. Joshua has come to remind us how his soul has looked back in wonder how he made it over in memory of Mahalia.
