It’s possible to be poor but rich in God. A single mother left with two children may not have a job, but at the same time she could be a blessed mother with a green thumb and could be blessed to raise a garden. She may not have the money to buy clothes, but at the same time she could be blessed with the know how to make her own clothes. God is good and that is what The Canton Spirituals have been singing about.
