The Greek meaning of the word “gospel” is “good news” or “momentous news.”
So, gospel means good news. What is this good news about?
In a nutshell, the good news is about God sending His son to become human who sacrificed Himself to save man from eternal death (or eternal separation from God).
The question then becomes: why did man need saving in the first place? What does this have to do with man and this so-called separation from God?
