The heartwrenching reality of gardening

I moved outside of the city to be closer to nature. Yes, the peace and quiet is amazing and the stars look wonderful at night, there’s little light pollution and not too many people around (except urban sprawl is ruining this by making more demand for overpriced developments). But, the main reason was nature. We found a spot that we could afford and snapped it up. It came with two large gardens, one overgrown with weeds, the other out of control with weeds. The first became my regular garden, the second my ever-expanding orchard.
