While Earth Day officially falls on April 22, we know that caring for the planet doesn’t stop there. That’s why we’re sharing simple, meaningful ways you can take action all year long — right from your own garden.

The 2025 Earth Day theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” is a call to unite around clean, renewable energy.

The goal? Triple global clean electricity by 2030. That may sound like a big mission. But even small choices in your garden can make a huge difference.

🌱 How gardeners can support clean energy

🔌 Go electric (or manual!)

Replace gas-powered tools with electric or hand-powered ones. Today’s battery-powered mowers and trimmers are efficient, quiet, and eco-friendly.

🌞 Let the sun work for you

Use solar lights, solar-powered irrigation timers, and garden gadgets. It’s an easy way to tap into renewable energy every day.

🍅 Grow local, eat local

The closer your food is to your plate, the fewer fossil fuels are needed. Gardening helps reduce the carbon footprint of food…
