Week 6: 5 Activities to Design a Wildlife — Friendly Garden Before Spring
How to build a thriving habitat
You’ve officially made it to Week 6 of our 9-week gardening roundup, and if you’ve been sticking with us, your yard should be shaping up into the kind of place where bees throw brunch parties and butterflies book extended stays.
Last week in Week 5, we saddled up and tackled our 5 Key Activities:
1️⃣ Choosing Native Plants 🌾
2️⃣ Rethinking the Lawn 🚜
3️⃣ Building Wildlife-Friendly Features 🏕️
4️⃣ Planning for Sustainability 💧
5️⃣ Composting ♻️
If you got a little sidetracked on the trail, don’t fret! You can always hitch your wagon back to Weeks 5 and catch up at your own pace. Good gardens — and good cowboys — aren’t built in a day.
Now, let’s ride on into Week 6, where we’ll keep working toward a backyard that’s as wild as the prairie and as welcoming as a front porch swing. That grumpy neighborhood squirrel is still watching, and he’s expecting great things. 🐿️
