Jurassic World: The Exhibition!

The Franklin Institute presents a limited engagement with the an exhibit based on the blockbuster film. Audiences of all ages can come face-to-face with a velociraptor or the vicious tyrannosaurus rex. The exhibition included educational interactive elements to bring visitors closer to these prehistoric creatures.

Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade

The Dunkin Donuts sponsored event is the oldest Thanksgiving parade in the country and a tradition for true Philadelphians. Spectators can watch the parade from all over town, but the Benjamin Franklin Parkway is the central location of the event. Floats, giant character balloons, dance troupes, choirs, marching bands, and special guest performers are all set to ring in the holiday season.

Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest

The Blue Cross RiverRink is getting ready for their grand opening this winter. The rink is the only outdoor regulation-sized rink in Philadelphia. Located on the west bank of the Delaware River, Penn’s Landing is an ideal winter scene for ice skating. The site is decorated in thousands of lights and Christmas trees help put visitors in the festive mood. Warm drinks are available for purchase by the fire pits or inside of the cabins.

The Christmas Village in Philadelphia

Philadelphia’s Christmas Village is an outdoor market, modeled after the German Christmas open-air markets. Vendors will sell traditional European food and drinks and the village will have a variety of shops selling ornaments, jewelry, and other hand-crafted items. The live band playing Christmas carols and the smell of gingerbread will put any visitor in the holiday mood!
