Nick, Joe, and Kevin were frequently used names for most of us when we were in middle school. The Jonas Brothers debuted in 2005 and released several smash hits such as “S.O.S.,” “Burnin’ Up,” “Year 3000,” and several others during their peek. The group was in every teen magazine such as Bop and TigerBeat, where fans could keep up and collect the posters.

Not only was the band prevalent in music and magazines, but their television presence did not go unnoticed. The Jonas Brothers starred in Disney Channel’s Camp Rock and even had their own series named Jonas, along being featured in many other TV specials.

However, in 2013 the band broke up and went their separate ways, but always kept a place in fan’s hearts.

On Feb. 28, the Jonas Brothers reunited and released their new hit single “Sucker.” This is the group’s first single together in six years, and fans all over the world are thrilled.

The song was released alongside a music video featuring each of the brothers’ respective significant others: Sophie Turner, Priyanka Chopra, and Danielle Jonas.

However, as the boys have grown older, so have their fans. This means that it was important for the Jo-Bros to sound much more mature than they did over a decade ago, in order to keep their audience engaged. They were successful doing this, trading in their young love songs to a pop-rock tune with meaningful lyrics. Rolling Stone added that the Jonas Brothers “can be a little cheekier, sex-ier and more lustful now than in their wholesome youth.”

The Jonas Brothers appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden every night from March 4 to March 7, to promote their new song. The band performed, acted in skits, and participated in Corden’s signature segment, Carpool Karaoke. Their appearance on the show reminded fans of their cheerful and charming personalities, that we all remember from years ago.

While appearing on the show, Corden had the group take a lie detector test where the brothers revealed some secrets surrounding their band. Nick admitting that he initiated their 2013 breakup while Kevin joked that he thought Nick’s many weddings were much too long.

Only time will tell if the release of their new album will be the landmark they need to fully reignite their comeback or maybe a nationwide tour will be what puts the brothers back on top.
