Press Release: The Writer’s Block
The Writer’s Block is a rotation of 12 scribes in 2 days! Twelve scribes (i.e. emcees, poets, singers, song writers, etc.) have agreed to write a song in an hour based on suggestions from the audience. These scribes are twelve of some of the most talented songwriters, singers, emcees and musicians the city has to offer! This event is a continuation of the hip-hop music series “It Is Written” 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5! While nine of the scribes are writing those songs, the audience will be entertained by three of the twelve scribes doing featured sets in a ‘talk show styled’ setting we’re calling “Where There’s A Vibe” hosted by Al Elliott (bka Thed Weller, Empresario of Ellication Labs, etc.).
