Generative AI, A Blessing and Challenge to Creators
AI is neither an accidental invention nor an unnecessary technology. People have been longing for it.
I was having a drink last December in a joint near my home when my friend, a writer and serial entrepreneur, showed up in his casual outfit holding his iPad. He adjusted the chair beside me and placed the iPad on the table.
“What’s up, buddy?” I asked.
“I have something to show you. It’s amazing. I was working on it when you called a while ago to come meet you here.”
He showed me a piece of writing on his iPad and asked that I take a moment to read the more than a thousand words piece he intends to publish on his new blog.
The piece was an easy read and I had no inkling it was written by a generative AI. I thought an experienced ghostwriter did the entire writing for him.
