Why Being Able to Say No at The Right Time is Overly Important
Saying no when it’s right to say it is putting your well-being first.
Life can become less stressful and more enjoyable if you’re able to say no at the workplace when it’s right to say it.
Why?
Because it’s always better to say no when it’s right to say it than to end up putting yourself in a tight situation, getting burned or sick while trying to accomplish tasks that will overwhelm you and cause you to overwork.
I’ve come across countless individuals who’ll first will first get themselves stressed and overwhelmed with tasks before they’re able to say no.
I remember one incident in my former workplace when my boss needed a task done quickly. He asks me to summon one of my coworkers, Sam who happens to be the right person to handle that particular task.
Now, Sam isn’t only good at his work, he’s also the type that detests failing people at work.
“Go call Sam. We need this to be ready tomorrow morning, he said to me.”
“Sir, but I think he’s been overwhelmed with different tasks since he returned from his last business trip. Can we delegate the task to someone else in his team?”
