Registration is now available for HackRU Fall 2018 at hackru.org!

This post is the beginning of a weekly series, HackRU Testimonials!

We asked those who have attended a previous HackRU, whether as a hacker, volunteer, mentor, or organizer, to share a few words about their experience at HackRU.

Phuru Shekar:

“Attending HackRU was a very eye-opening experience for me. I was able to make new friends from not only Rutgers, but also other Universities. Also, I was able to see all the things I could learn and develop skills that aren’t taught in classrooms.”

Phuru Shekar

Anjali Madgula, English & Computer Science, Sophomore:

“HackRU was so much fun because it really brought the CS community together. I loved how supportive and inclusive everyone was and the whole room was full of this great energy.”

Anjali Madgula

Jay Shah, rising Junior studying computer science:

“My first hackathon was Spring 2017 HackRU and it really opened my eyes to the field of computer science. What we learn in class is useful and structured but hackathons let you focus on parts of the tech industry that you solely find interesting and would like to learn more about. Furthermore, the great staff of students and professors really contribute to the academic purpose of HackRU.”

Jay Shah
