HackRU Fall 2018 is being held October 6–7 at the College Avenue Student Center! (Registrations are now closed.)
This post is the third one of a weekly series, HackRU Testimonials!
We asked those who have attended a previous HackRU, whether as a hacker, volunteer, mentor, or organizer, to share a few words about their experience at HackRU.
Duc Ngo, Junior, CS-turned convert:
“HackRU in a nutshell: chill weekend plan that feels very much like RU. Plenty of food to keep you through the entire event and lots of interesting events you and friends can be a part of. Every season is a unique one so there’s always something new at every HackRU! (Also lots of free goodies!!)”
Mahwish Jawed, Computer Science, Sophomore:
“The organizers, sponsors, mentors, and volunteers were very friendly. I didn’t build anything and just wanted to get a feel for what hackathons are like. Despite that, it was still really exciting seeing people’s ideas come to life. Plus the food was good too.”
Rushabh Jhaveri, Computer Science & Math, Junior:
“HackRU is an exhilarating experience because it not only is an amazing learning experience that lets you build something really cool, but also serves as a meeting place for like-minded people, in a very comfortable atmosphere. A lot of thought and planning goes into this hackathon, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.”
