The Haddonfield American Legion Post 38 will host its 76th annual Last Man’s Dinner on Monday, April 4. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to purchase tickets without delay.

The event will begin at 6 p.m., at Tavistock Country Club, with a social hour, which will include a cash bar. The program will commence promptly at 7 p.m.

Each year, the Last Man’s Club of the Haddonfield American Legion Post 38 conducts the Last Man’s Dinner to honor the veterans who have served our country in the past as well as today’s active-duty personnel. The Last Man’s Club was created to preserve the memories of our wars, to pay fitting tribute to our departed comrades, to foster and perpetuate good fellowship … and to eat, drink, and be merry.

The Commander of Post 38, Joe McElroy will emcee the proceedings. The program will include military honors, a “POW/MIA White Table Remembrance Service,” the “Annual Service” honoring those members who have passed in the last year, and performances by the The Camden County Emerald Society Pipes and Drums.

Attendees will receive a copy of the “2016 Last Man’s Dinner Program,” which will include the Post’s Blue Star List, information about members who have died within the past year, ads from supporters and other patriotic information.

Tickets cost $45 per person, which covers a prime-rib dinner and valet parking. Post 38 welcomes program advertisers.

For information on tickets and program advertising, call the Last Man’s Club Chair, Tom Baird, at (609) 923–1442.
