It’s hard to believe, but the Junior Learn to Row Program will kick off in just a weeks. The program will run from June 1 through June 16 and will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays at the Cooper River Boathouse.

This program is one of the Haddonfield Crew Club’s main recruiting opportunities for incoming freshman and future high schoolers. There is no Little League Crew, so giving an opportunity to middle school athletes to try the sport is important. Many of its current rowers likely participated in the Learn to Row Program when they were in Haddonfield Middle School.

Haddonfield Crew Club will be holding a recruiting event at Haddonfield Middle School on Wednesday, May 11 at 3 p.m. outside, as school is letting out. The club will have one of its four-person boats set up and it will be giving out soft pretzels and flyers that advertise the program.

And any questions about the Learn to Row program, please reach out to Roy D. Ruggiero at roydruggiero@gmail.com.

Registration for the LTR Program is set up on the Haddonfield Crew website at www.haddonfieldcrewclub.org, click on the “Junior Learn to Row Program” for more details and on the “Registration” tab (and Learn to Row subtab) to register for the LTR Program.
