Haddonfield Garden Club to undertake Blue Star Memorial project

Effort will begin at the club’s first meeting Sept. 11

The Haddonfield Garden Club is undertaking a year-long project to install a Blue Star Memorial in Camden County beginning with its first meeting on Sept. 11 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 204 Wayne Ave., Haddonfield at noon.

Learn more from Joan Cichalski, chair of the Garden Club of NJ’s Blue Star Committee, who will speak about the history of NJ Garden Clubs initiating a way to recognize the service of the men and women in our military, a program that is now nationwide.

Donations for the Blue Star Memorial may be made to the “Haddonfield Garden Club,” c/o The Leeds, 450 Elm Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
