On Saturday, Aug. 5 from 2 to 3 p.m., Dean Howarth will present “Electric Fire,” a popular parlor game from the 19th Century at the Indian King Tavern Museum.

During Benjamin Franklin’s time, “electricians” were a form of entertainment where electric fluids were distributed to the audience.

Howarth, a science educator and collaborator with museums, will recreate that experience with his collections of replicas from that time.
