Mabel Kay Senior Center continues programs through summer

The Mabel Kay Senior Center activities and programs continue throughout the summer months, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We are a cooling center for area seniors when our weather is 90 degrees or over.

Haddonfield’s Mabel Kay Senior Center has a number of events happening August for seniors to enjoy.

Bridge will be on the first, third and fifth Tuesday starting at 12:30 p.m. Bingo will be on the second and fourth Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Friday programs are from noon to 2 p.m. On Aug. 7 will be bingo and pizza; Aug. 14 will be affordable legal help; on Aug. 21 there will be Friendly Friday (TBA); and Aug. 28 will be sandwiches and conversation. One of the speakers will be Debbie Stout, attorney who will speak on Friday, Aug. 14 on legal questions and answers for senior citizens.

On Wednesdays there is computer club and line dancing at the Mabel Kay House. Computer club is at 10 a.m. on the lower level and line dancing is at 1 p.m. on the upper level.

At the Tarditi Commons is a wealth of exercise activities. On Mondays at 11:30 a.m. there is Cardio Fun, on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. is Lite Aerobics and on Thursdays at 1 p.m. is Senior Tai Chi.

Be sure to save the date of the End of Summer Picnic, which is Sept. 5 at 2 p.m.

Also at the Mabel Kay Senior Center is a senior food shelf drop off and no-sign in book exchange. Both are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
