Someone has been going around Haddonfield stealing rain-gutters — like, about a couple dozen of them, according to Haddonfield Patch.
Though news reports have been quiet on the rain-guttter front so far this month, seven thefts were reported just in October. That makes for a total of 10 similar crimes since August 24 and nearly two-dozen over the last year.
Police said thieves seem mainly interested in downspouts made of copper, which fetch a good price as scrap metal. In one night alone — Oct. 27 — two 10-foot sections of copper downspouts were reported stolen from the same block on Bellevue Avenue.
No suspects have been reported so far.
