YMCA 5K set for Nov. 2

Whether you are a new runner looking for your first 5K or a seasoned athlete looking to achieve a personal best time, the 2013 Burlington River Run on Saturday, Nov. 2 is a must for those looking to exercise while supporting their community.

Proceeds from the 5K USAT&F Certified Race and one-mile Fun Run will benefit the Rotary Club of Burlington, the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties and Doane Academy.

The race starts and finishes on the campus of Doane Academy, 350 Riverbank Street in Burlington. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m.

The course is a flat, officially sanctioned 5K course along the beautiful Delaware River and through the historic neighborhoods of the City of Burlington. Registration is $20 before the event and $25 the day of the event. T-shirts are provided for all participants while supplies last — register early to guarantee a t-shirt! Awards will be provided to overall top finishers (one male and female), and first-, second- and third-place finishers (male and female) for various age categories. Refreshments and door prizes will be available from local businesses.
