a beam of sunlight

moving across the city

amplifying beauty

Clouds hung over the city most of the day yesterday, but the sun broke through at one point placing whatever it touched in the most brilliant of lights. The highlight of its journey occurred when it hit a steam plume coming out of a factory. For the briefest instant, the plume gleamed the most brilliant white. An instant later, it was gone.
