ideas so slippery

they refuse to be wrangled

I’ve been traveling this week which usually provides all kinds of ideas to write about. Not this week, for whatever reason. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty going on in the old brain box, but nothing that wants to shrink itself down to an expression of seventeen syllables.

Tomorrow, I resume my life as a middle-aged Midwestern male. Perhaps the spigot will open once I’m back in my writing chair. Let’s hope.
