“The United States is once again an unlikely but potential target for the 26 pieces of the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite [UARS], expected to survive the descent,” according to NASA. UARS has changed its mind; be on the lookout (not literally) for hurtling pieces of “stainless steel, titanium and beryllium” ranging from “about 10 pounds to hundreds of pounds.” Hang in there, UARS.
