Women give more money to charity than men across all income levels, according to a new study by the Women’s Philanthropy Institute at Indiana University. They’re also more likely than men to give at all. Feministing suspects it has to do with relating, by way of our oppressive past, to the causes we donate to. Backing that up is a national study on altruism from 2003, which showed that women are “much more empathetic” than men. [Via]
