Welcome Those New Hellos
When hard times come and go with friends and others that have hurt in in ways that changed you because of the pain; new adventures and a new hello will be in store when the right time comes. And yes we all want to just recover enough so that we can move on with our lives and come to new hellos from new people who we may choose to let in our social circle and our support system.
Maybe even though those hard times with those who showed us their true colours, brought us to better things. No matter what we may go through in pain, it always leads to something greater and more worthy of our time, effort, patience, attention, care and everything else.
Yeah when it comes especially with mental illness, its unfair in its own ways as well as being wrong for experiencing the stigma particularly around it that makes it hard to see how going through yet living with mental illness can come with its positive benefits.
Living with mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of but neither is talking about it. There should be no shame in speaking openly about mental health and mental illness. Because its just like physical illnesses, its just affected in the brain, a very important organ in the human body.
And the brain is so important because without it, we wouldn’t exist, so wouldn’t it make sense to everyone to take care of us and stop putting shame and stigma around something as important as our brain health?
No words describe a mother’s tears. No words can heal a broken heart. A dream is gone, but where there’s hope. – Phil Collins, Two Worlds
So we all have been there when we are reminded by others and even ourselves of all the bad things and mistakes we’ve made, making us create that list in our minds of why we are still single, unlovable and no worth living life at all. This can really create more than enough problems and does no one any real good in life.
But it can’t continue because its just all unhealthy, unfair and wrong in so many ways. Regardless of any judgments, beliefs of any kind, we have to be open to hearing and viewing both sides of any story. Yeah we want to stick with our side of the story but we have to hear how those who experienced those moments to learn and know what we aren’t seeing ourselves on our side.
We all have to grow up at some point, so when that time in your life comes around, start working on that. And. Remember that it takes enough of your dedicated time, effort, commitment, patience, strength, courage and more to succeed. And also know that you are the only one who can work on yourself. Anyone can inspire you and encourage you but they can’t demand or force you to do something if you don’t want to do something.
We have every right to do things our way and that’s just what we would do ourselves and what others want us to do is what they would do themselves, for themselves. Remember also to be the change you wish to see in the world. So you wanna change the world? Start with yourself like Michael Jackson quoted in his lyrics:
I’m starting with the man in the mirror. I’m asking him to change his ways. And no message could have been any clearer. If you wanna make the world a better place. Take a look at yourself, and then make a change.
Katy Perry, It Takes Two
Is Mercury in retrograde or is that the excuse that I’ve always made? ‘Cause I wanna blame you. But I can only blame myself.
I say these things to hurt you. But I only hurt myself.
Oh, I can only take responsibility for me. It takes two, two sides to every story. Not just you. I can’t keep ignoring. I admit half of it, I’m not that innocent, oh yeah.
It takes two, two sides to every story. Not just me. You can’t keep ignoring. But let me be first baby to say I’m sorry (I’m sorry).
I face my demons, yeah, I paid my dues. I had to grow up, I wish you could too. I wanted to save you, but I can only save myself. Oh, I can only be the change you want to see. Yeah, to see.
I point my finger but it does me no good. I look in the mirror and it tells me the truth, yeah. Why all these lessons always learned the hard way? Is it too late to change?
It takes two, two sides to every story. Not just you. I can’t keep ignoring. I admit half of it, I’m not that innocent, oh. It takes two, two sides to every story. Not just me. You can’t keep ignoring. But let me be first baby to say I’m sorry (I’m sorry).
