1. Wake Up With The Right Intentions

Every single day you wake up, remember that it’s another day to make a change in your life. You have air in your lungs and the ability to do things that can only improve your life.

2. Eat Well

Make sure you are providing your body with food throughout the day that makes you feel good. That can be comfort food or food that’s full of vitamins and minerals. Just make sure you eat.

3. Use A Planner

Plan out days as best you can so you can maximize the hours you have. Use a sticky pad and write the important things that need to be done in the order of most to least urgent.

4. Drink Your Coffee, Tea, or Water

Grab your beverage of choice and let the work begin. The comfort of drinking your favorite beverage can kick start any day.

5. Speak Positively to Yourself

Words of affirmation do work. You have to believe in them when you speak them and believe in yourself. You are worthy of having the life you have dreamed of.

6. Take Care of Your Health

Go to your dentist, doctor, and therapist. Take care of yourself the best you can so you can make sure you are living your best life. Your health is worth more than all the gold in the world.

7. Buy That Self-Help Book

Browse the self-help section and pick up a book you like. Read self-help articles like this one on Medium. By enriching your mind you will also allow yourself to explore new topics and help yourself heal from any old wounds that could resurface.

8. Find Your People

Lean hard on those who love you, support you, and wish you the best. Allow them to be a part of your life at a level where you feel comfortable and safe. Take the advice they have with a grain of salt. The act of listening and allowing yourself to be loved makes a huge difference.

9. Meditate

Breathe in for 3 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, and release for 5 seconds. Watch how the simple act of breathing can change your whole mood. Reflect on the positive and understand that the negative things in your life won’t last forever.

10. Get Some Sleep

If Jennifer Lopez can get her 8 hours of sleep, then so can you. It may be hard at first, and there will be nights where the act of trying to sleep may take a long time, but the effort is worth it. You need at least 7–8 hours to be functioning the way you’re supposed to.
