Hello Wizard Activists! Even after everything March put us through last year, it has decided to show its face around here again, and it’s time for This Week In Wizard Activism.

What’s Happening in the Wider Wizarding World?

Helping Texas!

Wizard Activists are doing our part to help our friends in Texas after the devastating winter weather hitting the area late last month. Here is an excellent resource where you can find links to food banks, shelters, information about warming stations, and tons more. Check out this link for the resources in English and this one for Spanish.

Trans Healthcare

The Human Rights Campaign has put together a list of states where legislators are trying to pass anti-trans healthcare laws. There are several states on this list, including New Hampshire, Arizona, and Utah. Head over to this article for more information about these bills and ways you can fight for trans rights.

A Shoutout to Magical Muggles

Our Albuquerque, New Mexico chapter was busy last month collecting cards and candies for the staff and residence at a local nursing home over Valentine’s Day! Thank you so much for spreading kindness and love to your community. Your generosity speaks volumes.

Volunteer!

(Agnes exist the front door saying “It’s gonna be a gas.”)

Volunteering for the HPA is an amazing experience. The friends, the community, and the great work we do as a part of this organization has been a great inspiration to many an activist. Right now we have a couple of open volunteer spots and we’re looking for talented and passionate social activists to join the ranks. Check out https://www.thehpalliance.org/volunteer!

And so, friends, we must part ways for this week. I hope this March treats you better than the last one.
