This Week in Wizard Activism: Volunteer with Us!

Happy Thursday everyone! Let’s get right into This Week in Wizard Activism!
Welcome, Jade!
We’re welcoming a new staff member to the HPA team: Jade Kling, our new Freelance Fundraising Manager. A little bit more about Jade:
Jade Kling (she/her) is a nonprofit fundraiser in Washington, DC focused on political advocacy and social justice. Because she hates being bored, in addition to her role with us at the HPA and her full-time gig in development operations, she also dedicates time as a volunteer consent educator for college administration and students, as well as serves as producer and co-host for the LGBTQIA+ reading subgroup of a large, online feminist book club. Much of her sparse free time is spent roleplaying, cuddling with her dogs, or reading… preferably on a roof. A first generation college student, she has a dual Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and absolutely loves talking about it (or anything else, really). Though this is her first foray into working with the HPA community, she’s a longtime member of Nerdfighteria and is positively thrilled to put her skills to use to support and expand our mission to turn fans into heroes.
Jade, we’re so excited to have you with us and welcome to the team!!
