3 Annoying Things People Do In the Office
I hate my job
Some people value career progression. Others take pride in their role as essentially mid-level management biatch.
Others, like me, just want to receive a decent enough paycheck and get the hell out of there.
Here are a few annoying things that people have done this week, clearly not realizing I do not value my career.
The ‘Opportunity’ of Career Development.
My Director wants to promote me. I don't want the promotion. There’s a bit of an awkward conversation coming on the near horizon.
Look. Given the fudged-up economy, I would appreciate the additional money that will come with it. But I’ve just had a decent pay rise. So this generous offer will likely be a 10% pay increase. Cool, sounds nice.
But after the taxman gets his grubby hands on it, it won’t be worth it. See I know all the bs that's gonna come with this. More pointless back-to-back meetings. More responsibility. Way more work.
Why can’t you just let me coast through my days in peace? Don’t spoil it. We have a good thing going here.
